A roadmap for Educational Engineering Curriculum

A roadmap for Educational Engineering Curriculum
Classification (track)Course TitleSummary
BasicEducational Engineering Trends and Issues Students identify the definition and area of educational engineering, examine historical development and theories, and analyze and study the theory and practice of each specialized field of educational engineering. In particular, they review the development tasks of education and how to use educational engineering in the information age.
BasicTeaching and Learning Theory Students examine various theoretical approaches related to learning, and furthermore seek practical field application plans of each theory for a more effective teaching-learning environment. In addition, they review the learning theory that is the basis for the development of self-directed learning ability and creativity that are recently emphasized in the educational field, and seek practical applicability
BasicLatest Teaching Design Theory Through research on the teaching-learning process and consideration of major teaching theories, students study and analyze teaching design models that focus on a systematic approach. In addition, they directly develop the teaching design model through theoretical and experiential verification.
ResearchCommunication and Future Education This course explores the theory of communication, which is the theoretical basis of educational engineering, and especially deals with the elements of communication in a virtual environment. It introduces various issues related to virtual environment, future education, and communication.
ResearchEducational Engineering Research Methodology Students analyze and review research methods related to teaching engineering research, and discuss and study overall matters related to research report preparation, such as research questions setting, design of research methods, data analysis and processing, interpretation and discussion of research results, etc.
DesignTheory and Practice of E-learning Students study various theories on the development of effective teaching materials for remote learning using ICT, and analyze problems related to the actual development/ operation and management of e-learning based on theories and devise solutions.
DesignLearning and Knowledge Management Students learn about the concept of knowledge management that forms the basis of the information society and the composition of the system, and analyze related cases based on this.
DesignEducational Engineering and Cognitive Science Students learn the overall research trends related to educational engineering and cognitive psychology theories that can be applied to design technology-based learning programs and educational environments, based on which, they design actual teaching programs and educational environments, and evaluate the effectiveness of existing teaching programs.
DevelopmentDevelopment of Blended Education Program In order to determine a learning strategy that is appropriate for the learner's needs and learning content, students conduct research related to various types of learning, such as online, offline, lecture-style, self-study, simulation, and demonstration, and develop the most effective learning system incorporating and combining them.
DevelopmentNew Media-based Learning Students seek to develop a teaching and learning model and establish strategies for the change in education brought about by the development of media and innovative technology.
UtilizationGlobal HRD Seminar Students promote an integrated understanding of HRD by dealing with related theories such as human resource management and relationships of human resource development, learning organization, change management, performance engineering, action learning, and performance evaluation, domestic and international cases, the latest trends and global issues.
UtilizationCorporate Education Seminar Students study theories and practices related to corporate education to strengthen their competency as a corporate education expert.
UtilizationProgram Evaluation Practice Students deal with various issues of evaluation related to educational engineering and educational evaluation programs. They explore theoretical and practical problems related to the evaluation of various education and training programs by examining various types of evaluation including formative evaluation and general evaluation and major evaluation models.
UtilizationLeadership Development Seminar As an educational engineer, students learn the core leadership competencies that HRD professionals must acquire and seek strategies to gain international competitiveness.
